The formation of the lodge was approved in 1907. It was consecrated as a lodge on 16 January 1908.
The lodge has met continuously ever since.
The lodge number on the register of United Grand Lodge is 3271
The parent body is the Metropolitan Grand Lodge of London.
The lodge meets formally five times per year in central London. There are also informal gatherings.
The lodge is led by the Master (elected annually). The master is assisted by two senior lodge officers: the Wardens, and other officers with particular responsibilities; Treasurer, Secretary amongst others appointed or elected annually.
