There are also practice nights (Lodge of Instruction) in Freemasons’ Hall on the three Tuesdays preceding each of these meetings.
The primary theme of each formal meeting is a ceremony to introduce a new, or advance an existing, member. The ceremonies take the form of a short playlet. Each participant learns his part and delivers it from memory.
In February we install the master and appoint or reappoint the officers for the year.
The ceremonies deliver a powerful message to all who watch or take part.
The meetings are followed by a drinks reception and a structured dinner.
